Time heals all wounds. It is a universally accepted fact of life. However, if you still don’t believe that is the case, well, look no further than what Denny Hamlin recently told Alex Bowman.

Bowman, who has been sidelined for his ‘concussion-like’ injury after taking a hit in the controversial Next Gen car, recently announced that he would remain out of racing for at least three more races.

And it was under the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s announcement that Hamlin reacted with a heartwarming message.

“Get well soon AB,” the Joe Gibbs Racing driver wrote.

Now, about the wounds.

Last year during the playoffs race at Martinsville, Hamlin was spun out by Bowman, who eventually went on to win the race. Naturally, the veteran was fuming at the #48 driver, something very evidently reflected in his post-race interview.

“He’s just a hack. Just an absolute hack,” Hamlin said after the race. “He gets his a** kicked by his (Hendrick Motorsports) teammates every week, and just, he’s f—ing terrible. He’s just terrible, and he sees one opportunity and he takes it, but obviously, he’s got the fastest car every week and runs 10th so he didn’t want to race us there.”

“We had a good, clean race. I moved up as high as I could on the racetrack to give him all the room I could, and he still can’t drive.”

See?

Time heals all wounds.

Walls are closing in on NASCAR according to Denny Hamlin

Denny Hamlin, who has been arguably the most vocal of all the drivers in their rallied criticism against NASCAR’s Next Gen car, recently explained where he currently stands on the subject and the role of other drivers in this battle.

“At this point, I feel like I’ve said everything I could on the safety side,” he described. “I wouldn’t change anything [I’ve said], but now we just wait on the results.”
“We heard what they said they were going to do, and now we sit back and wait and see those results come through in the next 3 to 6 months.”

The #11 driver did, however, emphasize that it won’t just be him doing the talking, certainly, on the pitch he was at.

“There’s plenty of other people starting to speak out now, which is good,” Hamlin said. “Not all of the soundbites have gotta come from me.”
