In a recent interview posted by ClassicCars TV on YouTube, Elliott revealed the team’s plans for the four Hendrick Motorsports drivers.
Since Elliott’s on-track tussle with fellow teammate Kyle Larson, there have been some talks. Rumors surrounding Hendrick Motorsports taking steps to curb incidents like these have also surfaced. During the interview, the host asked if there are any team orders or commands about racing other teammates in the line. Refuting the existence of any such orders, Elliott said, “No, no team orders.”
Explaining how Hendrick Motorsports owners do not interfere with their race, Elliott said, “Look the bosses never made anybody, you know, pull over to win a race or anything like that.”
Revealing that this is the healthiest way to look at the competition, Elliott continued, “They let us race. And I would say (that it is) a good thing just from the standpoint of competitiveness and overall health of the sport.”
The 2022 regular season has been quite successful for Hendrick Motorsports drivers. With all four of its team members entering the playoffs, the team has a high probability of clinching the title.
