2020 was a hugely turbulent year for Chase Briscoe, at least on a personal level. As it turned out, he and his wife Marissa lost their unborn child. This occurred mere days before he had to race at the Darlington Raceway in the Xfinity Series. Nevertheless, he persevered and won at Darlington.
Now, the couple have had another shot at starting a family, and at long last, they were finally successful. Admittedly, the buildup to the whole scenario was a bit hectic. Apparently, he did not leave with the team because he was on ‘baby watch,’ so he took a commercial flight to Las Vegas. However, the plane had issues, and there were a series of unfortunate events that almost made him miss the race.
What I’ve learned in the short 6 hours I’ve been a parent… I need more phone storage, I think I’ve already taken about 200 photos. Here is the most recent one from the little mans big day. pic.twitter.com/nZFGDydGKa

According to Briscoe, Marissa went through 36 hours of labor and a C section. In the end, it was all worth it, because the Briscoe family was thrilled to welcome Brooks Wayne Cunningham Briscoe into the world. Once the news broke, well-wishes and congratulations poured in from the NASCAR world. Among the well-wishers was fellow Cup Series driver, Matt DiBenedetto, as well as the Stewart-Haas Racing team.

Chase Briscoe will definitely be fired up after the birth of his son
With the Cup Series race at Talladega coming up soon, this is just the right motivation for the #14 driver. Fuelled with the knowledge that he is now a father of a beautiful baby boy, Briscoe will be in high spirits. At the moment, Briscoe has top rookie honors, as he sits 23rd in the championship.
It is also worth mentioning that he has a best finish of 6th place at Circuit of the Americas and Road America. Meanwhile, in the Playoff stage, he has registered consistent Top 20 finishes. At Talladega this weekend, Briscoe is expected to line up in 17th place. So he will be keen to claw his way up the pack and get a good finish.
