On lap 32, Bubba Wallace and Ross Chastain slid up the field and moved ahead of Kevin Harvick. Due to this, Harvick lost his grip, and eventually, smacked against the wall. The impact of the crash left the #4 damaged. And Harvick became the first driver to make an early exit from the race.

However, this wreck did not just affect Harvick. Bubba Wallace, who was leading at the time was battling Ross Chastain for the lead. But Harvick’s crash brought up a caution, and the race slowed down. Because of this, Wallace who was about to overtake Chastain had to lose his momentum.

After slowing down his speed, Wallace was furious about not being able to overtake Chastain. In the heat of the moment, Wallace was heard saying on his radio; “God, f**k, Ross!” The competition between the two was neck to neck. And although Wallace clinched the checkered flag, Chastain finished the race at the 7th position.

In a post-race interview, Kevin Harvick revealed what exactly happened on the track. He said; “When those two cars (Bubba Wallace, Ross Chastain) came up in front of me, I just got super tight. When I lifted it grabbed and got loose.”
