Recently, Bubba Wallace took part in an iRacing event at the Bristol Motor Speedway dirt course. As it turns out, his race engineer JR Houston invited him into his racing league for some practice. To make matters even better, Wallace raced around the track in a mod that had his 23XI Racing car.
Evidently, the mod also included the 2021 Cup Series tracks. Suffice to say, this will be perfect practice for the African-American driver. It also helped that he won the Bristol dirt race in the 23XI Racing car.
With this, Wallace is killing two birds with one stone as he is practicing on the dirt surface and also getting used to his future car.

How prepared is Bubba Wallace to take on the dirt track?
Considering that he has grown up racing dirt bikes near Charlotte, Wallace has some experience under his belt. This probably explains why he was so quick in the iRacing event and won the race. However, online racing and the real deal are two opposite ends of the pole.

Additionally, Bubba Wallace has not properly tested out his new car. While the online race can only do so much in terms of getting Wallace used to the car, it does help a little, and the driver has to use the Busch Clash as a test to gauge how the car is.

Furthermore, he can also see where he and the team stand in the pecking order. With no testing on the cards, every driver must race and get to know their new car, simultaneously.
For a driver in a new team, this could be quite challenging, as there is no base for any comparison to previous seasons.

Luckily, Bubba Wallace does bring in a wealth of experience to 23XI Racing. Co-owner Denny Hamlin may also chip in from time to time.
