When the NASCAR Bank of America Roval 400 got underway, there was an odd incident involving Brad Keselowski. When cameras picked up the #2 driver, he, Erik Jones, and Matt DiBenedetto were literally nose-to-tail. Later on, replays showed that Keselowski had a massive spin and did a full 360°.

When he came to a stop, Jones and DiBenedetto also slid to a stop behind him. In response, former driver-turned commentator, Dale Earnhardt Jr joked, “Brad’s going to park it here, parallel parking. The Roval just creates more strange shots.”

How did Brad Keselowski perform in the NASCAR playoff race?

Admittedly, Keselowski had a disappointing run, especially after he started the race in 3rd place. That impromptu ballet performance dropped himself, Jones and DiBenedetto, well down the order. In the end, he managed to claw his way back up to 18th place.

The good news was that he had already qualified for the Round of 8. However, he would have liked to finish the race on a high note instead of throwing it away. Meanwhile, the other two drivers finished 3rd and 22nd respectively, meaning that Jones was able to pull off a stunning recovery drive. On the other end of the spectrum, DiBenedetto could not repeat Erik’s heroics and ended up further behind Keselowski.

Now, Brad Keselowski will have to put behind his disappointing performance, despite the artistic spin. Instead, he will focus on the next three races that make up the Round of 8 playoffs. If he can successfully navigate these three races, he could be in with a shout of the title.

Of course, he will have to try and catch the likes of Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin, first. In that respect, such a feat looks quite farfetched. A man can dream though, and once the finale at Phoenix wraps up, he will look ahead to the 2021 season.
