During the NASCAR Cup race at St Louis, there was a lot of action on the track. Among the many incidents, Ross Chastain got on the bad side of Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver was quick to show his ‘appreciation’ for the stunt. Later on, he got a front-row seat to a couple of other incidents ahead of him on track. One of them involved Ricky Stenhouse Jr tagging Bubba Wallace into a spin.
Naturally, a fuming Bubba Wallace swore his vengeance on the #47 JTG Daugherty Racing driver. Meanwhile, Stenhouse Jr confessed on the radio that he never meant to punt him out, only move him a little. However, 23XI Racing team co-owner Hamlin did not appreciate the stunt. He fumed on the radio, “He’s f***ing running 30th. What are you wrecking someone for 30th for?”

In the end, poor old Wallace could only finish in 26th place, while Stenhouse Jr got his just desserts in 32nd. While all that was going on, Hamlin finished the race classified in 34th after all of his troubles. Chase Elliott could only muster 21st, while Ross Chastain was sitting pretty in 8th place.

Can Bubba Wallace and the other drivers redeem themselves?
The next round of the 2022 NASCAR Cup season takes place at the Sonoma Raceway. It will offer a golden chance for all of these drivers to regroup and fight back. Out of all the victims, Bubba Wallace will be the one under the most pressure. This is because he is still hunting for his first win of the season, something that his teammate has already achieved.
Since he has a fair number of critics, he wants to try and hit back at them. Getting a win would be the perfect reply to them, especially since some still feel that he lucked out at Talladega last year. As for the likes of Hamlin and Elliott, they already have wins but will want to strengthen their championship challenges.
