The Atlanta weekend for Reaume Brothers Racing went from bad to worse after their hauler truck was heavily damaged. After their two drivers, Chris Hacker and Thad Moffitt, came out with a result of 17th and a DNF respectively, the hauler truck got involved in a crash.
Fortunately, the driver had no injuries, but the truck surely did.
After the race, the hauler was exiting the speedway, and it entered a tunnel under the racetrack. The only problem was, the tunnel wasn’t high enough for the truck.

On the bright side, at least that precious diesel fuel is intact.

What is the function of a NASCAR hauler truck and a hauler driver?
Just like shipping companies do, NASCAR haulers also perform similar tasks. Yes, they transport racecars and race vehicles from one city to another, but that’s not the extent of their duties.
Haulers also maintain and transport racing equipment, spare parts, computers, food, and office supplies, among other things, for their teams. So clearly, their job responsibilities are much more than your average shipping truck.
Almost all the NASCAR teams, from the Cup to the Truck series, depend on their haulers to deliver things as small as helmets to as big as racecars from track to track. In some cases, the drivers of these hauler trucks are also mechanics and can often lend their hand in working on the engines and malfunctioning parts.

As for the Reaume Brothers Racing, with their hauler truck heavily damaged, one would assume they’ll have a lot of difficulty in performing these essential tasks for the coming race weekend, to the point where their participation in the next race could be in jeopardy.

But luckily for their fans, and for the team itself, they’ve announced they will take part in the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, despite the fact that they’re based out of Mooresville, North Carolina.
