Hours before the commencement of the Cup Series at the Texas Motor Speedway, the scene took a turn for the worse when a brawl broke out at a NASCAR event. Following Saturday’s heavy rains forcing the officials to push ValleyStar Credit Union 300 to Sunday, the qualifying race started off on the wrong foot.
In fact, it was so wrong that the opening restart lap of the race saw a wreck. And what followed next was nothing short of embarrassing. The half-mile track at Martinsville Speedway, known for boiling tempers, witnessed another feisty action as a brawl broke out between team members.

After a stellar race week at Langley Speedway, the horizon was golden for Conor Hall, who captured his first NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series championship a couple of days ago. Despite the driver’s achievement, his Martinsville Speedway run certainly did not go according to plan. Hall headed into the race pretty confident to make a mark for himself; however, an early bump got the driver back on the pit road in the opening lap.
The Heat 2 wreck in Martinsville Speedway between Chad Bryant Racing and Magnum Tate Racing eventually culminated in a brutal fistfight off the tracks. Conor Hall, after the restart was spun around following an aggressive block from Magnum Tate. Tate, who turned right, got hard into the CBR car, taking Hall for a spin with damage to his car’s front end. This eventually ended up with both cars out of the heat race and no chance of making the finale.

Given how big of a deal there was in late-model racing, tempers flared high as the team members got in each other’s faces in the pit area. What followed next was a brawl. To make matters worse, the #42 car sitting innocently in the background received damages as the men tried to wreck each other, throwing fists and body-slamming each other.
