“Want to Have a Second Date” : After Season of Run-Ins with NASCAR, Tony Stewart Finally Comes Clean on Hot Speculation

For a while, former NASCAR champion Tony Stewart has been in a relationship with drag racer Leah Pruett. In fact, the two of them tied the knot sometime last year. So now they have been enjoying their family life for nearly a year now. Earlier this year, Stewart announced that he would be dipping a toe in the drag racing arena. So far, he is liking what he is experiencing.

Stewart said, “Yeah, I want to have a second date. The longer you’re there, the more that you see stuff. That creates questions, and every answer I got to a question created three more questions. So here we are…and, you know, I just genuinely love the sport of drag racing.”

What else did Tony Stewart say about his new love?

According to him, drag racing is far different from all other forms of motorsports that he has raced in. He admitted that every car he has driven and every series run had its unique characteristics. However, drag racing was a whole new ball game for him, which is saying something, as he drove 22 different types of race cars.

Stewart continued, “The fun part for me is it’s something totally outside of the box that I’m used to being in for the last 40 years of racing. The NHRA side…way different. A lot of the things are just drastically different. The reaction times and the aspects of it that are way different than everything else I’ve done is what are what’s drawing me to doing this. So it’s been very fun and stimulating. Just to see how powerful these cars are and how much speed they can run is incredible.”

Without a doubt, the 3-time NASCAR Cup Series champion will be eagerly waiting for the 2023 season. Now that he has his own team, with his wife driving one of the cars, he can’t wait to flex his racing muscles.
