

Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott are top-tier drivers in the NASCAR series. In fact, they both hold Cup Series title wins and we know both to be very speedy around the track. However, one thing that goes unnoticed is their friendly bond. Moreover, their bond seems to reflect off the track as well! Especially if one considers a recent incident between them.

Kyle Busch Photo Bombing Chase Elliott
One of these friendly moments was during the pre-race interview at Atlanta when Jeff Gordon and a few others got to asking Elliott some questions. They asked Elliott how he plans to get to the end of the race, to which he jokingly replied by saying, “I guess not a crash would be a good start”.

However, the friendly bond between Busch and Elliott comes through during this answer, when Kyle Busch photo-bombs the Hendrick driver.
Busch then waited for the 2020 Cup Series champion to finish. But, this shows the bond between the 2 drivers and how they are good friends. In fact, considering their incident in Texas, the JGR Driver wasn’t mad at Elliott.

Chase Elliott Spun Kyle Busch in COTA
While the 2 drivers were tackling the street circuit of COTA, an incident in Stage 1 turned some heads. Chase Elliott was right behind Kyle Busch on the turn, which is when the 2 touched, and unfortunately, Elliott’s No. 9 Chevrolet spun out the No. 18 Camry of Kyle Busch.

Kyle Busch is not known to be a very patient or friendly driver. In fact, it’s quite the opposite more often than not. However, this is one time when the situation was a lot different. Kyle Busch was not mad at all. Chase Elliott apologized and took full responsibility for the incident.
“I got crossed up in the braking zone and hit him. Obviously, we were racing for last and probably weren’t even racing for stage points and I think he knows me better than that. But yeah, that was completely on me… and my fault.”

In the end, it’s always nice to see NASCAR drivers having such a healthy and friendly bond, despite the race errors.
