The “Victoria Secrets” NASCAR driver recently came forward to show her support for Meta’s new social media app, Threads- a rival to Elon Musk’s microblogging site, Twitter. Positioned as a safer alternative, Threads hopes to bring users looking for an enriching and secure online experience. With its connections to Meta’s expansive online ecosystem, Threads sets itself apart by offering seamless integration with existing Instagram accounts. NASCAR truck series driver Toni Breidinger is frankly relieved to find a better option for her social media presence.

Threads: a safer alternative platform for NASCAR Drivers

The success of Threads depends on its ability to maintain a significant user base in a market already populated with emerging alternatives and established platforms, such as Twitter. While questions remain regarding Meta’s data-collection methods, the NASCAR interest in Threads points towards a more secure environment. As users continue to monitor the competition, attention to privacy and user experience become key factors in determining the ultimate champion of this digital battlefield.

At just 23 years old, Breidinger is an Arab-American trailblazer with a unique story. Her racing career began when she was nine years old. Falling in love with go-karting, she has always been a racing enthusiast. Although her father initially believed it to be a passing phase, Breidinger proved her dedication by staying committed to the sport for 14 years – a journey that has now led her to the Truck Series and becoming the sole female driver in the Heart of America 200. In addition, she is the only Victoria’s Secret model on the track, successfully combining her modelling and racing careers.

Her journey from being a supermodel to a race car driver has been difficult. Constantly being targeted on social media platforms and receiving uncertain texts is part of her daily life.

She recently took to Thread to express her delight at the privacy setting. This felt like a safe zone, since no one could message her directly. She ‘threaded’, “I love how nobody can DM me here. safe place”.

One fan commented on her post: “There’s a freedom to not dreading looking through the requests folder.”

“Finally, no creeps can try n rizz you up. Trust no BODY.” another added.

“Dm is overrated. Threading is the new normal😉” third replied.

One fan even said, “The only reason to have a public account rn lmao.”
