Brian Murphy had been a former presence at Stewart-Haas Racing. Earlier, the iRacing team owner worked as a fabricator and associate shop foreman for Tony Stewart. The new addition highlights Brad Keselowski’s ambition as a team owner and the adoption of an incredible recruitment procedure. Murphy announced the move on his official X handle as he posted,
“I’m proud and grateful to announce I have accepted an incredible opportunity with RFK Racing and their Quality Control Department. I’m thrilled to start the next chapter of my NASCAR career with an organization possessing such an enormous amount of potential, an extremely bright future, and a group full of passionate and dedicated individuals.”
Brad Keselowski also chimed in the conversation and replied with a warm welcome comment for him on the same thread. The 2012 Cup champion’s tenure as an owner has been exemplary, and the addition of an industrial talent like Murphy portrays the same. While the new job is a drastic role change for him, Murphy couldn’t help but thank Keselowski for giving him the chance and wrote, “Thank you sir. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this team. Merry Christmas, Brad!”

When Brian Murphy was a part of Stewart-Haas Racing, the team was still producing great performances, befitting the status of a Cup Series powerhouse. While SHR has experienced a sudden decline in the past few seasons, Murphy has stayed away from racing to give time to his other ventures in sim racing and the On the Go podcast.
Brad Keselowski adding him to the ranks implies that RFK Racing is ready to take the next big step and establish itself among title contenders in 2024. Having stayed away from racing for a long time, Murphy understands that his presence has only been reflected on social media in the past few years. Clearing the air around the same, he posted on ‘X’ and wrote:
“It’s easy to be a Internet personality and keyboard warrior but that’s not my job. The next few months will be difficult transitioning and showcasing what I have to offer and applying that in a way that helps @RFKracing win races and championships. That’s my goal.”
