For the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season, the Hendrick Motorsports team has unveiled an alternate livery for Chase Elliott. Recently, the team renewed its contract with sponsor, Kelley Blue Book. The sponsor is a long-time partner and the livery makes Kelley Blue Book a primary sponsor, as opposed to NAPA Auto Parts. As per reports, the vehicle valuation and automotive research company extended its contract with Hendrick Motorsports for two years.
In light of the news, the Hendrick Motorsports team unveiled a new livery based on the sponsor. Admittedly, NAPA Auto Parts is his primary sponsor, but Kelley Blue Book will take over for a couple of races. The sponsor will be present on the car for the fall races at Richmond and Texas.
.@KelleyBlueBook has signed a two-year extension with @TeamHendrick that again includes two primaries on Chase Elliott's No. 9 Chevy annually (this year: fall Richmond and fall Texas).

Coming to the livery itself, it is different from the blue and white paint scheme. Instead, the car is decked in a striking blue and gold livery with the sponsor name and logo on the hood. Blue color makes up the base of the livery, while the golden splash across the front of the car, forms the secondary scheme.
Blue and gold sure look good on the No. 9 Chevy!

What to expect from Chase Elliott in 2021?
After sealing the 2020 Cup Series championship, Elliott is in the unenviable position of defending his crown. For the first time in his career, the driver has a huge target painted on his back and needs eyes at the back of his head. The driver knows that there will be plenty of competition and he will have his hands full.

However, Chase Elliott is not the kind of driver to back down from a challenge. Without a doubt, he will relish the opportunity to go toe to toe with other drivers.

Truthfully speaking, there are many drivers who are just as talented and they will also have the hunger and drive to win. If Chase Elliott can maintain his form in the regular season and the playoffs, he should be in with a shout of the title again.
