While the decision from NASCAR has triggered disapproval among fans, Kevin Harvick recently explained how the Hamlin-Chastain wrecking saga affects the other competitive teams and rivals around them.

Kevin Harvick recently made an appearance on the NASCAR Race Hub show, where he broke the big news about bringing back the #29 Ford car during NASCAR’s All-Star event later in May. Moreover, the 2014 Cup Series champ expressed his disapproval of Denny Hamlin’s decision to retaliate against Ross Chastain after being on the receiving end on several occasions last season.

Kevin Harvick slams Denny Hamlin for Ross Chastain’s wreck
During a recent appearance on Fox Sports’ NASCAR Race Hub, Kevin Harvick said, “This situation, in particular, has just gone way overboard, and right now, it’s affecting the teams.”
Harvick further revealed that Hamlin wrecking Chastain had an adverse effect on his race. The NASCAR veteran added, “So really, it’s affecting every competitor on the race track.”

Kevin Harvick also pointed out that there was a ‘fine line’ between letting drivers make their decision on the track and ensuring that they do what is necessary at the same time. Talking about the recent incident, Harvick stressed that there was a chance of other drivers getting caught up in the mess.
Moreover, Harvick strongly disapproved of drivers wrecking their rivals on purpose. The #4 Ford driver said, “I don’t like the fact that we are intentionally wrecking drivers. And there is a way to do it by just racing. And you don’t have to intentionally do it.”

The 47-year-old added, “You can race, put them in bad spots, and do the things you need to do but everybody is vulnerable right now and I just don’t like the intentional wrecking”
Thus, Kevin Harvick did not seem too happy about Denny Hamlin’s move against Ross Chastain while expressing concerns about the safety of others on the track. Meanwhile, Hamlin has chosen not to appeal against the decision made by NASCAR.
