In NASCAR, discussions about various situations and controversies are common, with drivers sharing their views on races and sometimes criticizing others. Amidst this, there are some drivers who possess a calm and humble persona, and Chris Buescher is one of them.

Having nearly made 300 Cup starts, Buescher remains somewhat enigmatic even to Nate Ryan, who acknowledged that he barely knows him. During one of the “NASCAR on NBC” podcasts, host Kim Coon described the No. 17 Ford Mustang driver’s nature and referred to his personality as a ‘Mysterious Persona.’ She noted that he is highly compliant during interviews and may not actively seek attention, but if given the right opportunity, he provides a wealth of information.

Nate Ryan agreed with Coon’s observation and shared his recent experience with Buescher. He said, “He’s extremely accommodating when you ask him for like Saturday doing the driver ball bonnet in Richmond after qualifying I got him by myself and he gave me like five minutes and when you ask him questions I think he gives you as you said sometimes I look went long answers I mean he tries to give you what you’re looking for but he doesn’t seem like he ever seeks out attention and he certainly not like his teammates slash car like Keselowski were you know Brad has got some big pictures views and he likes to share them it.”

“I don’t know maybe there is yin and yang that work or maybe it’s just that he’s a great driver uh which is obvious given he’s got two wins last year and now in a Cup series for Chris Buescher but it just seems like he is just sort of underrated but yet appreciated by his peers and I have a hard time putting finger on that what Chris Buescher story is”, he concluded.

Kim Coon further explored Buescher’s interview responses, highlighting his unique approach and how it contributes to his distinctive personality in the racing world

She said, “Over the course of my time covering the sport, he don’t ever get you know the hot-tempered hot-headed mess from him and I’m not to say he doesn’t have passion, he doesn’t have drive he doesn’t get riled up nut you know get wild up but he seems to maintain compared to other drivers good sense of calm on the radio, same with his crew chief, I mean he’s got is very calm personality when it comes to radio.”
