The NASCAR legends of the early 21st century took the sport to another level. Kevin Harvick, with his 2014 Cup Series title and 60 race wins, and Kyle Busch with his two Cup titles and 63 race wins are foremost among them. Their young ones are already paving the way – with Brexton Busch and Keelan Harvick achieving sprint racing milestones steadily. However, competition for their sons is already on the blocks, it seems.

Tyler Reddick was in his career-best form in 2024, clinching three race victories and cracking the Championship 4. If not for Joey Logano’s fierce fuel mileage and team strategy, the 23XI Racing driver had a solid chance to be the champion. As he strengthens his legacy, his son is also showing signs of doing the same.

Tyler Reddick presenting a new generation threat?

Tyler Reddick and Alexa DeLeon have been dating for years and were expecting their first child in 2019. That was the same year Reddick started his Cup Series journey under Richard Childress Racing. Little Beau Reddick was intricately connected with the motorsports world from the start. In fact, Alexa challenged her husband – if he could win the Xfinity Series championship in 2019, then he would get naming rights to their child. And Reddick did – winning both the coveted title and Rookie of the Year honors. And so their son got his name from a fun and successful racing wager.

Now Beau is actually turning his head toward the high-octane world. Although he is yet to cross the 4-year-old threshold, Tyler Reddick’s son is slowly fixing his future trajectory. In a recent Q&A session on Instagram, Alexa Reddick answered a fan’s question, “Does the kid wanna be a race driver too?” Alexa replied with a small caption placed next to an adorable picture of little Beau smiling at the camera. “Yes he does🥲” This should ring alarm bells for Harvick and Busch. Keelan Harvick fetched 7 wins in the Legends division in 2024, and Brexton Busch most recently won a Micro Sprint Championship.

However, Tyler Reddick’s fast-growing resume would offer a fantastic racing environment for his son Beau. The latter may turn out to be a solid rival for both Keelan and Brexton, who knows? Beau’s newfound interest is just one of the bright updates in recent months. Tyler and Alexa got married in August, and then the No. 45 23XI Racing driver clinched the regular season title. His team won a crucial motion in the NASCAR lawsuit, confirming his 2025 Cup Series seat. And most recently, Tyler and Alexa announced that they are expecting a second child together, to grace us in June ’25.

Besides Reddick’s influence, Beau also harnesses his racing interest from other sources.

Well, Tyler Reddick confessed that he does not usually get to know what his son’s dream is. “It’s interesting because he really only talks to Lex about it and doesn’t bring it up with me much.” He further said that when he was 4 years old, he knew racing was his goal. The same is not true for his son Beau, but Reddick is okay with that. His son likes to play baseball, taking after his mother Alexa’s father, Jose DeLeon, who played professional baseball as a pitcher. However, Beau may grow a racing interest even from there. Jose DeLeon spent time with Michael Jordan as a teammate during M.J.’s short stint in the Chicago White Sox farm system.

As the owner of the 23XI Racing team, Michael Jordan could very well drive Beau into racing. Hints of that were already evident when cheers rang out in the team in April 2024 at Talladega Superspeedway. Despite being a 6-time NBA champion and Chicago Bulls legend, Jordan celebrated Tyler Reddick’s victory like it meant the world to him. And a very special guest celebrated it with him – Reddick’s son Beau. Jordan lifted him in his arms and asked, “He did a great job. Are you ready to celebrate?” Then Beau emphatically replied, “Yes!” to Jordan’s heartwarming laugh.

Evidently, Tyler Reddick’s son is exhibiting all the signs to follow in his father’s footsteps. If he does, another hallmark of the next generation could soon appear.
