Tyler Reddick races alongside teammate Bubba Wallace in 23XI, and the two are known for their friendly rapport off the track. Recently at a Las Vegas fan event, Wallace took a dig at Reddick’s height, and the latter responded heartily, showing no hard feelings. However, both have criticized each other on the track.

Bubba Wallace has scrutinized Reddick’s moves on the track before. Reddick also did not shy away from criticizing his buddy’s attitude on the track. He spilled the beans on Wallace’s slightly rebellious demeanor.

Reddick and Wallace are the shining gems of 23XI Racing. After NBA legend Michael Jordan and three-time Daytona winner Denny Hamlin birthed 23XI, Bubba joined. Soon he lifted the team to glory with his and his team’s first Cup win in October 2021. Wallace is truly an asset to the team, but every driver has his/her unique aspects. Who better to judge that than his teammate?

Tyler Reddick recently appeared on ‘Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour’ and shared an insider snippet about Bubba. Harvick broached the topic of ‘spinning his own two cars out’, and asked Reddick what the team owner Denny Hamlin expects from his drivers in those terms. Reddick answered revealing how Bubba takes advantage of Hamlin’s position as leader of 23XI. He said, “I got the feeling pretty early on from Bubba that, you know, he tries to use Denny’s ownership in the team against him. I try to save him from that.”

Harvick was confused about the context. Reddick further explained, “Well, like, you know, if you’re in Denny’s shoes, right, you don’t wanna tear up your own car and you don’t wanna wreck another one of your own cars right?. Because I feel like he’s aware with how expensive this stuff can get”. To this Harvick hilariously drew a parallel to himself, saying, “I’d wreck the crap out of my car, if I had to, to win.”

Reddick then went on to stress unity between Toyota drivers who race hard, “I feel like it’s something that is shared amongst I think a majority of the Toyota drivers. We all race each other, probably like the 95th percentile, and don’t go any further than that, cuz it’s not worth taking that risk and having something go wrong.”

Tyler Reddick has faced the heat of Bubba’s rage on the track. The two literally ‘clashed’ at the Busch Light Clash race. Misjudging a move by Alex Bowman, Reddick was compelled to nudge at Bubba’s side, spinning the latter and causing a wreck. Bubba fumed over the radio with some colorful expletives. Overall, the two share a dynamic friendship while roasting each other.

The two mates have recently welcomed a new colleague into their fold, who has come all the way from Japan.
