Tyler Reddick has been able to gain massive momentum on the track this Sunday as he made his way to a spectacular victory at Homestead Miami. While he seemed to be ecstatic about the victory, during the media interview, a small child was seen rejoicing with him. It was none other than Tyler Reddick’s little boy – Beau!
Known for his love of the world of motorsports since the young age of 4, he has been quite active. While it has made daddy Reddick quite proud, currently he seems to set the expectations low for Beau, given his age.

Tyler Reddick and his girlfriend gave birth to Beau in the year 2019, incidentally at the same time that Reddick made his entry into the Richard Childress team. Since then, Beau remains an integral part of Reddick’s life and is often seen on the tracks with daddy. The young man is all set to follow in his daddy’s footsteps in the world of racing. He embraced karting close to the age that his father first started and showed some impressive feats already. Given that he is just on the verge of 7 years, expecting too much out of the baby would be sheer exploitation!
In a recent interview, Tyler Reddick seemed to open up about his young man and the hopes that he has set for him when it comes to racing. The little one currently has shown quite a bit of love for T Ball and his mother Alexa Reddick is often seen sharing moments of the same via her social media. However, while Beau has always been seen celebrating his father’s wins on tracks, Reddick has some other plans for him.
Speaking about Beau’s racing prospects and how he wants him to embrace his racing career, Reddick said, “It’s interesting because he really only talks to Lex about it and doesn’t bring it up with me much. I wanted to see how well he would commit himself to something, you know. Baseball is a lot cheaper than racing, so he’s been playing t-ball. I just want to see how willing he is to commit—through the good days, the bad days, and the not-so-fun days, whether it’s a tough practice or a game that doesn’t go well. I think that commitment is important, especially in racing.”
Given the kind of topsy-turvy career trajectory this profession brings, Tyler Reddick certainly makes the best sense. Often NASCAR drivers have to strive through really bad days and yet come back to the track the best week with a smile and complete conviction to mark a victory. However, even while mentioning his plans, Reddick did make it clear that racing is not completely an option for Beau.

Given that Beau is extremely young and still has some other interests like baseball, it could take time for him to settle on a final goal. Reddick added, “That’s where I’d like to step in and remind Tyler that he’s only four years old. He’s still figuring it all out. I started at four and a half, and even that might’ve been a bit early. But when I was four, it was all about racing for me—I didn’t care about baseball, football, or anything else. So, we’re taking our time, but I think racing could definitely be in his future.” The tracks have already witnessed daddy-done duos like Kyle Busch and Brexton Busch and welcoming the Reddicks would surely be heartwarming for all fans. However, it is indeed a matter of time before the little one makes up his mind.

While Tyler Reddick tries to keep the pressure low for his son, the need of the hour the #45 is to set the bar high for Phoenix. After his splendid Homestead Miami victory, the Team 23Xi driver will finally be seen making his way to the Top 4 for the very first time. However, Phoenix is a tough battle, and given that this is the first time for Reddick at the Top 4, the battle is going to get harder.

Apart from Reddick, Joey Logano has also been able to secure his spot and the remaining two will be decided at Martinsville. Although Reddick is safe at Martinsville, it is time that he uses the best strategy and devises a formula that is effective for him at the Phoenix tracks. However, post the Miami victory, Reddick was seen to be quite proud and confident of his form. When asked about his plans for Phoenix, he said, “We’re going to do what it took to win this race. We’re fighting for a championship.” Even Team 23XI co-owner and NBA legend Michael Jordan seemed to be quite excited about this victory. He said, “The little kid drove his ass off.”
While the other half of the top 4 remains unclear, Reddick has a fierce rival in Joey Logano. The Penske man is no stranger to the final race at Phoenix, winning the title on several occasions. With an average finishing position of 17.9 and no wins at Phoenix, Reddick’s numbers create a tough battle for him in the last race of the Cup Series. Will the victory match see Reddick climbing to the first position or will a veteran winner claim another victory?
