This 2023 season will see a number of drivers getting along with new teams and teammates. One such driver is Bubba Wallace. Since Kurt Busch stepped away from racing this season, Wallace has found a teammate in two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series winner Tyler Reddick.
Wallace had a great start at the Clash this year but could not finish as he’d have desired. Both Wallace and Reddick will be next seen driving together at the Daytona 500 this weekend. Though the partnership is new, they seem to have found a way to help each other get better.

In a recent interview posted by Bob Pockrass on Twitter, Wallace only had praise for his new teammate. During the interview, Wallace said that both of them are relatively new to the Cup Series and are in the process of learning together. He appreciated Reddick and even called him the Road Course King. This is despite the fact that the title of Road Course King is generally bestowed upon Chase Elliott.
Wallace said, “We are both learning the in’s and out’s of what it takes. And he was really good at a lot of tracks last year with this new car and so we can talk about things. And he was a road course king last year.”
“So we are helping each other hand in hand, excited to have Tyler. He’s fast, he’s hungry so we share a lot of same similarities,” he continued.

Bubba Wallace has only won two races in his career till now. But his boss Denny Hamlin believes he has a lot of potential. In a recent interview, Hamlin acknowledged that he did not know the level of talent Wallace possessed until he saw him perform last year.
Though he did not have a good start for 2022, later in Kansas, he edged out Hamlin and drove the #23 car to the finish line. Hamlin thinks this new season will be a breakthrough for Wallace and he could win a few races this year.
Well, the fans can only speculate how the season will pan out. With the Dayton 500 beginning soon, they will soon get an idea about where each team stands.
