First up, we have the driver being called “the next big thing in stock racing“, Connor Zilisch. The 18-year-old has shown absol  ute dominance in the ARCA series, winning five races in six starts this year. Post which the track house racing’s developmental driver also made a Truck Series debut where he bagged a pole position in qualifying at COTA. This was enough for Dale Earnhardt Jr. to realize his talent and get him full time into the Xfinity Series. Zilisch made his debut in the recent Watkins race, driving the #88 car for JR Motorsports. The youngster yet again shocked the NASCAR community by winning the race against the Series regulars. He’s surely a driver to watch out for!

Next in line, we have the most recent promotion, as Nick Sanchez comes to the Xfinity Series. The Truck Series driver will be replacing Big Machine Racing’s Parker Kligerman, who recently announced his retirement. The promotion is well deserved, as the 23-year-old has had a stellar season so far. He has bagged two wins (Daytona, Charlotte), eight top 5s, and 11 top 10s in 17 races this season. In just his second season, he has made the playoffs and is currently 4th in the round of 10, eyeing a championship.

Another 23-year-old in the mix is Truck Series driver Christian Eckes. For the McAnally-Hilgemann Racing driver, a promotion has been long due since his debut in 2018. He will be piloting the #16 car for Kaulig Racing replacing veteran AJ Allmendinger who will be running a full Cup season next year. Eckes has constantly shown a year-on-year growth. In 2023, he won four races and had an average finish of 11.13. After winning the regular season, he was hoping for a championship but was eliminated in the round of 8. The #19 has bettered his performance in 2024. He has already bagged 3 wins and again became the regular season champion. His current finishing average is a commendable, 5.76. Hopefully, he can win the championship this year as he comfortably leads the playoffs at the moment.

Lastly, teaming up with Eckes in Kaulig is his Truck Series colleague, Daniel Dye. After making a debut in the Truck Series in 2023, He’s shown consistency despite being winless. He made the current season playoffs based on points after seven top-10s and one top-5 finish. The #43 is currently going strong by being 7th in the playoff standings. Kaulig Racing recently announced him driving a full season in the Xfinity next year. This, however, won’t be his first appearance in the Series. So far he’s made 9 race starts and finished twice in the top 10. His average finish has been 19.7 so far in the Xfinity Series.

All have shown promise so far. The question remains: How will all our rookies perform and deal with the pressure of a higher series? Well, only time will tell. Meanwhile, all of them are stoked about the promotion.

After BRM made the announcement, he said, “As a driver, I feel that I’m ready to move to the next level and I look forward to competing for wins and ultimately a championship next year driving the #48 for Big Machine Racing!

All this with an impeccable consistency. His average finish has been 10.7 so far in his career.
