The role of the ARCA Menards series in developing racers fit to grace the high-performance machines of NASCAR cannot be underplayed. Despite being in collaboration for a long time, the relationship between these two promotions wasn’t official until NASCAR brought ARCA under its head in 2018. The most prominent feeder program for the highest racing tiers in the United States, ARCA has helped develop some magnificent talents like Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson and ThorSport Racing’s Hailie Deegan.
One other young driver who rose through the ranks with the help of the series and could potentially set the racing world ablaze is Holley Hollan. A Toyota ARCA driver, the 21-year-old shared a melting photo on her Instagram page that sent echoes of her racing prowess to the future.

Holley Hollan, who is all set to turn 22 in November, is a fourth-generation racer and the daughter of Harley Hollan, a businessman and racer. Holley has been racing since she was 5 when she got inspired by the sport and got behind the wheel of a junior midget car. Growing from there into a professional racer in her teens, she participated in national-level midget leagues before moving to the ARCA Menards Series West in 2020.
Knowing that she used to spend her time working in her father’s performance shop when she wasn’t racing makes Holley’s addiction to racing apparent. But one other love that she has is her niece, Hadley Paige. Regularly posting pictures of the 4-year-old on her Instagram handle, she recently shared one on her IG story where the kid can be seen admiring herself in the mirror, sporting her aunt’s Toyota racing suit. While we might not have seen Holley in a NASCAR vehicle yet, the image did make one wonder what the possibilities of that were.

Hailing from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Holley can thank her love for the engine to her father’s business, ‘Driven Performance Midwest’. The D1 chassis that the company makes needs no selling in the 600 micro sprint and junior sprint competitions. Inspired by the racing origins of her family, she put in a lot of her time and effort in the garage even when she was a high-schooler. When Holley put together a string of brilliant performances back in 2018 and broke into becoming a development driver for Toyota, she achieved something truly significant by following in the footsteps of someone who’d already broken the ground for her.
Mentioning in a 2019 interview that she looked up to Joe Gibbs Racing star and fellow Toyota driver, Christopher Bell, she noted the similarity in their stories. As reported by speedsport.com, she said, “I look up to Christopher Bell. He came from my same world and he has proven that a dirt-car driver from Oklahoma can make it in NASCAR. I grew up watching him race. He raced against my dad. I’ve known him personally for about the last two years. I lean on him quite a bit for advice and talk to him about things I am struggling with.”
Gender representation in NASCAR has not been a very balanced affair throughout history. But as certain women like Danica Patrick, Hailie Deegan, and Toni Breidinger continue to inspire girls to take up the sport and satisfy their need for speed, we can certainly hope that Holley Hollan will join their ranks and prove to be a role model for many including her niece, Hadley.
