Kyle Larson is currently not having a really strong season in 2022. Sure, he seized victory at the Auto Club Speedway but he has not won anything ever since. The closest he has ever come to winning was a 2nd place at Las Vegas and again at the Kansas Speedway. As a result, he has gone 13 full races without a Cup Series win, his longest dry spell in Hendrick Motorsports overalls.

Prior to this, the longest gap between race wins was in 2021, after he won at Las Vegas and didn’t win again until Charlotte. That alone was a 10-race gap, but he did follow it up with a hat-trick of wins. That year, he notched up an impressive 10 wins, the most wins he has ever achieved in a single season.

In all honesty, he definitely has the capability to do so. Especially since he triumphed on the road course last year and enjoyed some decent results. It also helps that he is racing for one of the best teams in the series. The organization is actually on the cusp of a massive milestone, as they are 98 miles away from leading a grand total of 100,000 miles.

Without a doubt, Kyle Larson and all of his teammates will be keen to help Hendrick Motorsports achieve this feat. For William Byron, it is a chance to increase his win tally even further. Meanwhile, the other three are aiming to tie with him on two race wins each.
