Bristol Motor Speedway saw Kyle Busch retire from the elimination race early after sustaining an engine failure. However, NASCAR fans felt Toyota, 23XI and JGR screwed him over on purpose and went on to badger them over social media.

NASCAR Journalist Jeff Gluck stated, “Ty Gibbs needs to run 30 more laps to pass Kyle Busch and knock him another point down. Not sure why Toyota would be OK with this, but it’s happening. If it were going to be a problem, they would have parked Bubba before he passed Busch.”
Ty Gibbs, a replacement driver for Kurt Busch in the 23 car, was not competing for the playoffs. Watching Gibbs and Bubba Wallace overtake Busch was seen as a deliberate attempt from TRD and JGR in order to knock him out of the playoffs. Busch is headed towards greener pastures with RCR next season and this might not have played well with Toyota and JGR.
Fans react to Ty Gibbs overtaking Kyle Busch at the elimination race
Fans were highly critical of Toyota, JGR, and the Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan-owned 23XI Racing team, after replacement driver Ty Gibbs was allowed to pass Kyle Busch. The engine failure also added injury to Busch as it saw him being knocked out of the playoffs.

Fans stated that Joe Gibbs Racing had no class and that they were showing their true colors. Some people also called TRD and JGR a disgrace for what they have done with Kyle Busch after all these years of being together.
Because @JoeGibbsRacing have no class and showing the true colors of @ToyotaRacing what a disgrace !! You should be embarrassed @ToyotaRacing that guy @KyleBusch made you !

I think we all know why. Toyota is a joke of an organization. I guarantee Chevy or Ford wouldn't do this. Way to treat the most successful Toyota driver.

Toyota honestly just purposely screwing over Kyle Busch at this point

Honestly neither @JoeGibbsRacing or @ToyotaRacing deserve to have @KyleBusch running for another championship for them. He’s always a danger to win if he’s running & their pettiness eliminated that possibility for their organizations & gives Kyle more incentive next year.

Ty possibly be the one to kick Kyle out of the playoffs? Joe knows what he’s doing
