Currently, the entire NASCAR community is wondering about the future of Kyle Busch in the Cup Series. With seemingly little to no update about him and Joe Gibbs Racing reuniting, are there other options available?
One possible destination is 23XI Racing, especially with Kurt Busch being out of action for a while.

So the big question is, will 23XI Racing swap out one Busch for another, in 2023?
Toyota Racing Development President David Wilson spoke about the matter. He said, “Kurt Busch is under contract to drive the [No.] 45 23XI Camry TRD next year, and that is our working assumption.”
“We know that’s what Kurt wants to do.”
Where can Kyle Busch end up in the 2023 Cup season?
For a while, there were rumors that Stewart-Haas Racing was a favorite destination, should JGR not work out. However, those rumors were promptly shut down when Aric Almirola reversed his decision to retire.
So, the #18 driver is back to square one and may soon start to get desperate. Another possible suitor could be 23XI Racing, in the event that Kurt Busch calls time on his career because of his injury. After all, the 2004 Cup Series champion is not getting any younger.

So, the extended absence because of concussion-like symptoms could be a warning sign. Unfortunately for him, if Wilson’s comments are anything to go by, the 23XI Racing organization is determined to retain the older Busch. So, Kyle Busch may have to redouble his efforts with Joe Gibbs Racing or search elsewhere.

Otherwise, he could face the very real prospect of being forced to sit out for a year. In the case of JGR, the biggest stumbling block is the lack of a sponsor. Especially on the back of M&M’s leaving the sport at the end of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Since they have been Kyle Busch’s long-time sponsor, this situation really puts him in a bit of a fix.
