“Take me Home Country Roads, to the Place I belong.” Ahh, that rustic voice of John Denver, the nostalgic vision of the roads lined with trees and outgrowth, is everything that one could ask for. The perfect song for a road trip. But what happens if one is stuck on one of those roads with no possible signs of fellow human beings? While some may consider it an adventure, few might be scared to death. But again, it counts as an experience for both sides.
And Leah Pruett, along with her husband Tony Stewart, underwent a pretty similar experience on Sunday.

While venturing into the wilderness might give that extra kick. But being stuck in the middle of nowhere is surely not a pleasant experience. This is evident from Leah Pruett’s latest Instagram story. She, along with Stewart and a few friends, was stranded in the middle of a highway.
Moreover, it was Mother’s Day.
The video that the drag racer posted on her account showed their broke down car with the Stewart-Haas Racing co-owner trying to fix it. She added, “Well, it wouldn’t be Mother’s Day without Jake Jordan doing little car yoga. Uh, luckily we are right outside of the Route 66, in case we have any major problems.”
In the subsequent stories that she posted, Pruett tried to highlight the problems of the car, “Fuel pump issues? Electrical?”
Nevertheless, even though being estranged in the middle of nowhere, Tony Stewart’s wife shared some tricks. Her friend added, “Tech tip for an easy ride. If you have your off-road bag and you are putting a sharp tool on it, cover it with some clear hoes because that keeps it from going through the bag.”

The dragster also found her share of fun when she tried to balance herself on a plank of wood and eventually gave up. In the background, her friend could be heard saying, “We stooped to all new levels of entertainment here in the wilderness.”
But this fun adventure was short-lived when a friend arrived to help them out. She wrote in the post, “Ooohkay. They tried everything they could. Time for a tow into some civilization and ask a friend to spend hours to come get us.”
Pruett also posted a video of the car being towed and the captions, “Big bummer not to finish the day riding, but we did get a couple of good hours in this morning and know @azfreeride will find this deep electrical issue not while in the middle of the desert. Every day is a chance to learn.”

And the climactic end to this string of stories culminated as they reached their destination on a tow truck. The car was towed they called it a day.
It seemed that Leah Pruett has enjoyed her unplanned adventure. But she is serious when it comes to racing. Apart from being the wife of Tony Stewart, Leah is an established drag racer. She competes in the NHRA Top Fuel for Tony Stewart Racing.
