Emotions can often get the better of a man. And we recently saw this apply to Aric Almirola who was not in the best of moods this past weekend. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver was involved in a mid-race scuffle with Bubba Wallace during Coca-Cola 600.
While the drivers have not shown much surprise at the incident, fans have not let the dust settle on the matter. Forming factions to add justification, Almirola’s intentions behind the act have come under the spotlight. Meanwhile, Bubba was seen as full of composure after the incident, despite being on the receiving end of a few shoves.

Charlotte witnessed some fights on and off the track in a race marked with on-track tension. Rain played its part in the incident, causing the race to stop in the 157th lap. When drivers were allowed to leave their cars and gather with their crews, Almirola decided to confront Bubba.
As the faceoff continues, Almirola shoves the 23XI Racing driver away while he shrugs it off. On resumption of the race, there were no on-track explosions, with Wallace coming in fourth and Almirola coming in 25th. Speaking on the matter after the race, Bubba says, ” It was a good day, we were trying to figure out how to finish 4th and we did it.”
Further answering on Almirola’s jibe at him, he added, “No, when you walk around with two faces, that’s what you get.” The two-faced nickname has stuck with Almirola ever since the incident, as even fans have begun to bring up the name in friendly banter.

Tony Stewart‘s driver has not found much solace on the online forums. Having more or less sparked off the brawl, Almirola has not been allowed much room for air on Twitter. After videos of him taking the fight to Bubba have surfaced, his actions have been under quite some scrutiny.
Some fans have put the blame on #10 Mustang driver for leading the fight.
“AA wanted to fight so damn bad. My god.
Props to Bubba for keeping it to talk and trying his best to walk away from the situation.”

Meanwhile, another fan tweeted about the reflection of their characters in the point standings, “Almirola just trying to be relevant again… as if he ever was… The points standings show ALL you need to see. 10 car should be cut all together. Waste of SHR’s effort.”

One of the fans has also highlighted the unwarranted hate directed at Bubba. Well, the two-face allegations couldn’t stay very far either. “Thank you for sharing! Definitely shows that @Aric_Almirola pursued the argument, over a bird? Huh. He probably does have 2 faces” is what she had to say.

No matter how events unfolded, the video gives us some idea about how the incident took place on ground zero. Although 23XI had a great outing at Charlotte, they were not expecting this type of contact from Almirola, for sure.
