Kevin Harvick will hang up his firesuit at the end of the 2023 Cup Series Season. In his 30-year-long NASCAR career, Happy Harvick has won the 2014 Cup Series championship, the 2001 and 2006 Xfinity Series championships, and even has the 2007 Daytona 500 title to his name. Currently driving the #4 Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing, Harvick has set himself up for a broadcasting career with FOX Sports post-retirement.
This final season has been a roller coaster ride for Harvick, who is currently placed 5th on drivers’ standings. Despite four top-5 and seven top-10 finishes, he is yet to win a race. Even then, the 2023 season is special for both Harvick and his team.
Recently posting a throwback photo from North Wilkesboro Speedway, SHR’s official Instagram account teased Kevin Harvick’s new career path.

Kevin Harvick flaunts never seen before skill at the All-Star Race
The All-Star Race at the North Wilkesboro Speedway saw NASCAR’s best 24 drivers taking to the tracks. This was the second exhibition race of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, with the winner set to walk away with $1 million. The All-Star Race also saw Kevin Harvick’s car sporting #29 instead of #4. As the 2023 season will be his last, Harvick opted for the number to honor his first career win at Atlanta in 2001 where he drove the #29 Chevy for Richard Childress Racing.
While Trackhouse Racing’s Daniel Suarez grabbed the pole position, Kyle Larson dominated the All-Star Race, leading for 145 laps and walking away $1 million richer, and Happy Harvick finished 18th. Yet what caught the eye of onlookers was Harvick flaunting his photography skills.
After posing for a group photo with the drivers, Harvick walked over to the media personnel, borrowing a camera. Harvick then walked back, snapping a picture of the photographers. In the post-race interview, Harvick explained his “class act” saying, “It’s important for you guys to be able to say you were here as well, but that was something Sr [Dale Earnhardt] used to do. Every time he won, he’d always take a picture of the photographers.”
His handiwork with the camera didn’t go unnoticed. Stewart-Haas Racing team posted a video of Harvick snapping the photographers, teasing Harvick that he may have a new career path post his retirement. “New career path, @kevinharvick?” read the caption.
