Stewart-Haas Racing is a team that is still searching for its new identity. This statement would perfectly reflect the mood around the team after the end of the NASCAR Cup Series. It’s 2024 now and the last time they managed to get their hands on the championship was back in 2014. They were winless in the entirety of the 2023 season and currently, none of their drivers finished in the top 20 last year.
With the departures of Kevin Harvick and Aric Almirola, Stewart-Haas Racing has kickstarted the transition they needed a long time ago. Taking note of their recent slump, the team is now focused, invested, and eager to bounce back from the dull phase. The message by the three-time cup-winning team was strong and assertive in their recent post online. Rekindling the lost identity and staying true to the Stewart-Haas Racing DNA, is what the fans should expect from them.

Drew Blickensderfer, the crew chief at SHR earlier hinted at the possible resurgence following the blueprint laid out by Hendrick Motorsports. With Harvick gone, Chase Briscoe is the closest driver they can label as a veteran. The likes of Noah Gragson, Josh Berry, and Ryan Preece complete a lineup that is young and somewhat inexperienced in terms of winning Cup races.
SRH crew chief while speaking on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio highlighted their move to look beyond the veteran drivers. He said, “You’re not gonna be able to have veterans forever, you know you’re going to have to go through this cycle of young guys. Hendrick Motorsports did it four or five years ago. All of a sudden Byron turned into a superstar and Chase Elliot is the guy we thought he is and everything went great.”

So it looks like SHR wants to look beyond the traditional approach and truly announce its plans and intentions during the 2024 season. Addressing their fans online, they sent out an inspirational and hopeful message, one that would silence the haters and naysayers.
“We’ve seen the doubters and heard all the haters. But anyone who doubts us doesn’t really know us. So we’re kicking off 2024 reminding everyone of who we are. Because as racers we’ve never lost out ambition. And as a team, we’ve always stayed true to our DNA.”
Co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing, Tony Stewart has stressed being real and raw for the upcoming challenges of the 2024 season.

Recently SHR promised fans to unleash their true identity and DNA in reminding them who they are. By the looks of things, the plan is in motion now with co-owner Tony Stewart leading the charge, in a strong message he said, “I think to be real and raw is just being who you are, Not having to cover up anything about yourself, that not there. It’s showing everybody exactly who you are as a person, as a racer and being unapologetic about it.”
