NASCAR drivers are well-known for their generosity, often putting giving ahead of receiving. This spirit of kindness has been a hallmark of many drivers over the years. The latest to join this benevolent brigade is the driver of Tony Stewart, Chase Briscoe. The #14 driver recently teamed up with Huffy Bicycles in a heartwarming initiative. They’re on a mission to bring joy to children on Christmas who dream of owning a bike but can’t afford one.

In February 2023, as Chase Briscoe took the reins of the #14 car in Fontana, CA, he brought along a slice of his childhood – his beloved bike brand, Huffy. This alliance, which took off in 2020 amid the pandemic and virtual racing, blossomed into its third year, with Huffy backing Briscoe for what they anticipate to be his standout Cup season.

On the back of mounting pressure for the upcoming season, with the retirement of Aric Almirola and Kevin Harvick from full-time Cup racing and the team of Tony Stewart, Briscoe is shifting gears toward a heartwarming cause. In a recent social media update, he announced a plan to spread holiday cheer among over 700 elementary kids in his hometown. With support from the Gene Haas Foundation, the Bikes For Kids Foundation, and Huffy Bicycles, Briscoe is set to gift these youngsters brand-new Huffy bikes for Christmas. Sharing his excitement, he reminisced about his own childhood days, zipping around Mitchell on a Huffy bike.
“All the kids from kindergarten all the way to fifth grade are gonna get brand new bikes for this Christmas season. So, really cool. I remember actually riding my Huffy bike all around Mitchell as a kid growing up. So, it’s going to be really cool to have over 700 kids be able to do the same thing now. Huge thank you to the Gene Haas Foundation. This would not have been possible without him. Huge thanks to Huffy as well for being able to come up with 700 bikes that’s in the Mitchell. So, super excited. It’s going to be a really cool day and looking forward to it.”
However, Briscoe isn’t alone in this race of goodwill. Jimmie Johnson, another big name in NASCAR, recently took to Twitter, announcing a generous matching initiative for donations made under a Tuesday giving campaign. It seems the spirit of giving is truly contagious in the NASCAR community!
