With two playoff races off the schedule, NASCAR steadily approaches the second quarter of the 2023 season. Kansas turned out to be a climax that none had imagined it to be. More than half of the playoff drivers had suffered a poor fate as they found themselves entangled in several on-track incidents, the first victim being the regular season winner Martin Truex Jr.
Apart from the Joe Gibbs Racing star driver, the miseries continued for the Ford team, Stewart-Haas Racing, as the team still prays for a victory in the 2023 Cup Series. Nevertheless, owing to the ruthless and uncompromising fabric of the race at Kansas Speedway, one of the drivers from Tony Stewart‘s SHR team seemed to have conceded early in the race.

The teams under the banner of Ford, performance had assuredly exhibited signs of resurgence. Apart from notching a victory at the team’s home track, the Blue Oval had changed the tidings. However, the only Ford team that seemed to linger on the sidelines of the track was none other than Tony Stewart’s Stewart-Haas Racing team.
The team in the ongoing season is yet to break the drought of its winless streak and regain its old glory. It is the retiring star driver, Kevin Harvick, who is the only driver from the team to enter the playoffs and is still in search of a victory. However, the hopes seem to get bleaker with every passing day, as the SHR drivers get mired in various on-track incidents.
After being entangled in a harrowing crash, involving his teammate Ryan Preece in Daytona, Chase Briscoe suffered a poor fate on the track of Kansas that led to the issuance of another caution on the track.
Although displaying significant momentum, and climbing to the front of the track, Chase Briscoe was witnessing a favorable day. However, everything went for naught when his car slowly portrayed in the reduction of the pace, before the power in the car went off and eventually slammed into the wall leading to another caution. The driver was eventually able to reignite his car.

Witnessing the plight, NASCAR reporter Jeff Gluck expressed on Twitter, “Chase Briscoe trying to limp it around the track, but is only in Turn 1. NASCAR keeping the race green, but Briscoe doesn’t seem to be under power and they’re going to have to call the caution, I’d guess.”
