Paul Tracy, Ryan Hunter-Reay, and numerous other drivers from the NASCAR Cup Series are among the five open-wheel racers added to the Superstar Racing Experience’s roster for the 2023 season. However, Marco Andretti seems to be doing better than his competitors, despite the fact that he races in the IndyCar Series while others race mostly in the NASCAR Cup Series.
In a recent press conference held at Stafford, where the first race of the series was to happen, Andretti was asked what made him the favorite among the stock car giants.
He said, “I just try to stay steady. I had a lot of bridesmaid finishes; I didn’t win a race last year. I just try to stay consistent. And in the end, it ended up working out.”
Moreover, he seemed rather certain about his chances in the upcoming SRX races.

Marco Andretti, a veteran of IndyCar and the current winner of Tony Stewart’s Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) series, made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut on the first weekend of July 2023. However, the start of the race was delayed because of the weather.
Marco Andretti, when further questioned about his debut in the NASCAR truck series at Mid-Ohio, said he faced a lot of trouble on the wet track.
Andretti mentioned, “I had a good qualifying in the dry; I didn’t have a good race in the rain. But that one was pretty interesting, and it was more of a survival game. I ended up in the top 20, but I was off the track probably seven or eight times, just in the wrong place getting used up.”
