Tony Stewart may have a trophy cabinet bursting with achievements, but his real achievement and constant has been his wife, Leah Pruett. They’ve been each other’s rock for years and are now toasting their second anniversary. Leah Pruett took to Instagram with a touching message to celebrate the special day with her husband.
For those out of the loop, Leah Pruett isn’t just Tony’s other half; she’s a force to be reckoned with on the drag racing circuit, boasting several wins, including the NHRA Junior Dragster title. In fact, on that front, Tony Stewart recently spilled the beans on “The Adam Carolla Show” that they’re on a quest to become the fastest duo on the track. So, don’t be surprised if you find them marking their anniversary in a unique way, racing side by side and pushing each other to the limit on the race track.

Last year, Tony Stewart took to social media to share a heartfelt message alongside some snaps of the two on their first wedding anniversary, saying, “I still can’t believe I’ve been married for a full year to this gorgeous, thoughtful, and most of all fun woman. You make every day exciting, and I’m looking forward to all of the adventures ahead. Love you, babe!” Leah, echoing the sentiment, posted pictures of her.
Instagram with the caption, “Happy 1st wedding anniversary love. We’ve definitely got our full share of living and loving in on this past rip around the sun. 😊 I love you @tsrsmoke . We’re a team in every way and I love that, from our full fledged jokes and pranks to our no bs communication style. 🤍”
This year though, it was only Leah who gave us a peek into their anniversary wishes through her Instagram Story with a sweet note: “Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary love 🤍 (11/21/21).”

The couple got engaged in May 2021 and tied the knot in Los Cabos, Mexico, just days after the NHRA season finale in California. However, the duo doesn’t share the same bold, boring husband-wife relationship. Pruett, a 12-time NHRA main event winner, and Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and a NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, bring their competitive edge to their relationship, especially when they face off in NHRA races. Tony admitted in 2021 that having Pruett in his life has honed his racing skills. “It wasn’t until I met Leah and started going to races regularly, where I saw the strategy and the preparation firsthand, that I truly understood it,” he shared with the AP.

As they continue to excel both on the track and in their relationship, it seems they’re also contemplating family plans. Tony, with a mix of nervous excitement, is seemingly looking forward to these new chapters in their lives.

Tony Stewart, known for his love for a fast lane, has been all about the adrenaline of racing, from launching his own NHRA drag racing team in 2022 with Leah Pruett and Matt Hagan to kick-starting the exciting new SRX series. Racing has always been his north star. Yet, in the more personal corners of his life, the 53-year-old Stewart is venturing into new territory: the thought of becoming a father. In a candid chat with autoweek.com in June 2023, Tony revealed he’s leaving the decision to start a family entirely in the hands of his 35-year-old wife.
He admitted, “I freaked out about the whole process, to be honest. I can’t even take care of myself. She has to take care of me. I’m not gonna lie, I’m excited about it. But I want it to be when the timing is right for us. I’m already so old now anyway, my poor kids are going to be at their high school graduation, there’s kids that aren’t gonna know who I am and they’re gonna go, ‘Oh, your grandfather came.’ My poor kids are gonna have to say, ‘No, that’s my dad.’ So it’s just like, whatever, it is what it is, but I’m excited about the possibility, sure, absolutely.”
