NASCAR drivers have a fierce persona, and blowing their minds is one hell of a task. For someone like Stewart-Haas Racing driver Chase Briscoe, who’s been behind the wheel since he was 13 years old, it becomes all the more difficult to astonish. However, it’s not impossible, and Tulsa has managed to do so.
But we aren’t talking about the Tulsa Expo Raceway or the Shootout that takes place in December every year; it’s Oklahoma’s ingrained feature that makes it one of the most unique things in the world, and yes, it did awestruck Briscoe as well. But what is it?

Ever since ‘Tulsa King,’ starring Sylvester Stallone, aired in 2022, Chase Briscoe has yearned to visit the center of the universe, located in Tulsa. After all, his wish turned out to be true, as renowned TV personality Matthew Dillner takes charge to give the ultimate experience to the SHR driver.
Before visiting the center of the universe, Briscoe thought that it was just in the cinematic world, but in reality, no such center lies in Tulsa. But his visit trashed all the doubts, following which Dillner asked for Briscoe’s attention on how the sound was behaving around the center, and it caught the #14 Ford driver off guard.
Dillner asked Briscoe to stand on the center of the universe and started walking backward, increasing the distance between them as he spoke, “Chase Chase Chase.” Briscoe noticed the differing loudness in the sound but was surely unprepared for the striking change in the intensity of the echoing sound compared to the few footsteps that Dillner took.
According to a phenomenon, whenever you’re in the center of the universe, you can’t fail to notice the echo. Finding himself in an incomprehensible situation, Briscoe said, “Yeah it’s weird. I didn’t realize, it’s wild.” However, the SHR star didn’t stop there and said, as he pointed away from the center, “When I was standing right there, I didn’t hear it at all, no.”

So, Briscoe has a burning desire inside of him to become the Tulsa King one day. Sharing his plans to dominate Tulsa, Briscoe unveiled, “I would definitely say I would love to be the king of Tulsa at the end of the week. But I got to get through my pre-lims night first before we start thinking about that.” However, it’s not that simple.
Chili Bowl recorded 394 entries in the 2022 season, crossed the 350 mark for the 2023 season, and would probably garner entries like this in the foreseeable future. So putting a race on the resume with so many rivals to steal the victory makes it worth it.
