Tony Stewart is usually considered to be a confident man. But he might have taken things a bit too far this time around. The ‘Smoke’ may be married to fellow motorsports athlete Leah Pruett but that doesn’t stop him from flirting around. Pruett seems to be okay with it because, well, the entity on the other line is something she shares a personal bond with as well. It is none other than the NHRA dragster Pruett usually drives, named Homeslice!

It was revealed last year that Tony Stewart would take Leah Pruett’s place in the NHRA competition as she wanted to take some time to start a family with the three-time Cup Series champion. He will make his much-awaited comeback to motorsports just a couple of weeks later in a Top Fuel dragster.

Tony Stewart already seems to have driven in the dragster and absolutely loved it given how he was seen talking with it. The sketch was hilarious for the people in the room, as they could be heard laughing in the video which was shared by Pruett on Instagram. Her husband really let go for a few seconds and perhaps nobody expected that.

“Hi sweetheart. How you doing? I’ll be right there. Yeah, put the belts over the top of the seat, just like I like them. That’s right. Alright, I’ll see you soon, love you. Bye,” the former Cup Series driver said on a golden phone. Leah Pruett wrote in the caption that there still was one more race left with her Homeslice, the PRO Superstar Shootout Invitational. After that, her husband Tony Stewart is going to take over.

“Production Day… when the big cameras stop rolling. (Never do know what’s gonna to come out of his mouth lol). Not yet homeslice! I still have the PRO Superstar Shootout invitational in Bradenton, FL to race, just 2 weeks out then she’s alllll yours,” the caption read on Pruett’s Instagram post.

It came as a shock when Leah Pruett announced that she would not be taking part in the NHRA event in 2024. She is a veteran of the sport and a prolific motorsports athlete as well. However, her decision was final and she clearly explained why.

The announcement was made early in December last year. Pruett had said that she wanted to invest in a future with a family before it was too late. A lot of people assumed that she might have been pregnant but that was not the case. It was just a case of stepping back and thinking about life beyond racing.

“One of the decision-making factors was, ‘What do we want our life to look like when we have a family?’ And it is easy to sit back and have the immediate view that we’ve got this killer race team and we can do what we didn’t do this year — which is win a championship. But stepping back and thinking about long-term and what our family looks like, it was just the right time at the right decision,” she had said.
