Stewart-Haas Racing could have had a lot more going for them. Struggling to find form, the drivers are pretty off-color this season, bar the evergreen Kevin Harvick. But with Harvick’s retirement scheduled at the end of this season, the team’s core will be undergoing a massive shift. The Tony Stewart-owned team has not had much to celebrate this season and to change that, they have started making moves already.

Rumors linking an SHR return to a partnership with Chevrolet have been making rounds in the community.

Although Ford has stayed a loyal partner to the team over the years, this could be a huge loss in their customer base. But as usual, the SHR social media have given the fans some content while also maintaining their silence.

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Social Media Handle Delivers Yet Again as Fans Keep Guessing New Announcement

Fans of every sport love to speculate about big moves. The same is the case with NASCAR, and with SHR being the team in question, there has been a lot of excitement and anticipation around their future in the Cup Series. Tony Stewart has lined up former Hendrick Motorsports substitute driver Josh Berry as a replacement for Harvick in the #4 car. Hopefully, Rodney Childers continues his duties as the crew chief and shapes up a new team for next season.

Coming to the announcement in question, the SHR content team, yet again, put up an interesting post. Addressing the enthusiasm of their fans over a new addition to the team or any such joyous news, they uploaded a video showing no changes to their hideout.

One of the major rumors has been a return to Chevy. Ever since its origin, Chevrolet supplied them with vehicles until 2016, when the partnership switched places for Ford. Kevin Harvick‘s championship win in 2014 came in a Chevy as well. A return to Chevrolet would mean a massive boost in mechanical aspects for SHR considering the problems their drivers have faced with Ford.

The fandom has grabbed popcorn and is waiting to watch the action unfold. While SHR have decided to stay tight-lipped on this one, fans continue to go gaga over the suspense.

One of the fans was happy that if the Chevy rumors turn out to be true, the team might have a better crop of cars. He says, “Wish it was going back to @TeamChevy so the cars would be good again.”

SWITCH TO DODGE!” said a fan expressing his allegiance to the car manufacturer.

Rodney Childers also garnered some attention. The legendary crew chief is most likely to help Berry in his transition to taking over the #4 Ford.

“Not sure how I feel. I am loving Boswell to the 14 and I love Josh Berry but Rodney and Timmy and the 4 with someone else……. I just can’t.  I was hoping they would go to the 14 with Briscoe. Just switch the 4 & 14 teams. Change the 4 to something else and then add Berry.” said an SHR fan letting his feeling known.

Another nostalgic Harvick fan was hoping that the news could be of Harvick taking his words back and staying for some more races in the sport. “Good! Hopefully it’s Harvick not leaving! It’s driving me crazy. Time flys and I’m just not liking how it’s getting closer. But maybe he wins a championship and goes out the best way possible!”
