Although Tony Stewart has retired from the Cup Series, he is still actively engaged in the racing scene. First and foremost, he is competing in his own series, the Superstar Racing Experience. Aside from that, he has joined his wife Leah Pruett in the drag racing arena and is steadily making a name for himself. And on Valentine’s Day, the couple announced that Stewart will be competing full-time this year in Top Alcohol Dragster for McPhillips Racing.

All in all, this is a great Valentine’s Day gift for every Tony Stewart fan. The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion is an incredibly versatile driver, having also been an IndyCar Series champion. In addition to that, he has also competed in a variety of racing disciplines. So when he took up drag racing, it didn’t take very long for him to adapt and take to it like a duck to water.
What did Tony Stewart say about his 2023 racing plans?
Obviously, the ex-NASCAR driver is thrilled to bits with his new venture, especially since it is a full-time gig. He told the NHRA website, “I am super excited about the season. It’s been a long winter and I think what’s made it feel even longer is the fact that we’ve been working on putting this package together with the McPhillips family to expand on what we did at Las Vegas last year and get back in the seat.
