From her role as Victoria’s Secret Model to Raising Cane’s ambassador to her recent collaboration with the billion-dollar makeup brand Maybelline, it’s no secret that Toni Breidinger has been on quite the upward trajectory as of late. Naturally, a lot of the attention that has come her way has a lot to do with the full-time opportunity provided to her by Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Menards Series. That being said, it is also within the walls of this very team that Breidinger seems to be finding the most hurdles being thrown her way.

After qualifying in a solid P9 for the ARCA Menard Series’ visit to the ‘Monster Mile’ at Dover International Speedway, Toni Breidinger was on her way to securing a solid top ten finish for the team in red, until all too familiar Deja Vu struck her once again. Only this time around, it wasn’t her teammate Gus Dean who made things difficult.

For the combined ARCA Menard Series and ARCA Menard Series East race, Toni Breidinger put in her best effort. As the General Tire 150 began to unfold, Breidinger maintained her position, hoping to capitalize on her strong qualifying position. Unfortunately, all hell broke loose for her with less than fifteen laps to go, as her teammate Kris Wright attempted to overtake her on the outside.

As Kris Wright nudged closer to Breidinger’s rear bumper, the #15 driver committed to the outside line to overtake his teammate. But in what can only be called poor luck, neither Breidinger nor her spotter could anticipate Wright’s charge down the outside. Naturally, as Wright tried to pass Briedinger, the #25 checked up and was tapped in the rear by her teammate, destroying a major part of her front right fender.

Right after the incident, Venturini Motorsports official account on X tweeted; “😬 Lots of damage for @ToniBreidinger after making contact with teammate @KrisOnNASCAR. Less than 🔟 to go when we go back to green at the @MonsterMile for the #GeneralTire150.” Taking a look back at some of the recent Venturini motorsports incidents, it becomes clear that there may be a real communication problem between teammates on the established ARCA team.

At the start of the season, Tony Breidinger faced a similar end to her race after qualifying in fourth place. Tussling it out with the field at Daytona, the Victoria’s Secret model fell victim to her teammate Gus Dean’s charge toward victory and was fairly vocal about her disappointment with her teammate right after. But that isn’t the only incident that has plagued Venturini Motorsports teammates in recent memory.

Just last year, Sean Hingorani was handed a one-race suspension for intentionally wrecking Venturini Motorsports teammate Dean Thompson towards the tail end of an ARCA race. All the incidents between Venturini Motorsports teammates are slowly adding up, ultimately costing Toni Breidinger a shot at a stellar result twice in one season.

However, as tough as Toni Breidinger’s luck may be, the NASCAR community found itself in splits over who was in the right position between the Venturini teammates at the Monster Mile.

Despite sympathizing with Breidinger’s fate, they went on to highlight her mistakes

For the NASCAR community that had tuned in to the General Tire 150, Toni Breidinger’s unfortunate fate only resonated with one sentiment. Looking back on her run-in with Gus Dean at Daytona earlier, a user stated, “She doesn’t have the best of luck when it comes to teammates!”

Whereas others were equally upset about #25’s 15th place finish; “Definitely sucks to get taken out by her teammate when she was going to have a top 10. Better luck next race.”

But not every fan thought that Toni Breidinger’s run-in with Kris Wright was no fault of her own. Users pointed out the moment Breidinger seemed to close the gap unknowingly, pulling no punches against the spotter. One user stated, “What was she thinking, clearly not clear!!

As another chimed in, “As for Toni Breidinger, her spotters should’ve warned her before she tried to block him… sometimes… it can happen to anyone.”

When Kris Wright approached Breidinger on the outside, there was enough space for the #15 to squeeze past, if only the #25’s spotter had relayed accurate information in time. Fans pointed out Breidinger’s part in the incident, saying, “She wrecked herself.” But at the end of the day, the bigger problem at the dominant ARCA team stood clear, “Never put it past Venturini teammates to wreck each other.”

After taking a look at the building animosity against Venturini Motorsports owing to their teammate tussles, do you think the fan-favorite ARCA team can turn things around in time?
