Recently, Cup Series leader Kevin Harvick spoke to CBS Sports’ Matt Mayer about Bubba Wallace. Wallace created a tidal wave in the NASCAR driver market. This was when Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan recruited him to their new team for 2021.

According to him, the dynamic of the whole team is great. Denny Hamlin, Michael Jordan, and Bubba Wallace successfully drew plenty of eyeballs with the announcement. He said, “I think you’ve just seen the tip of the iceberg, with what’s going to happen with that.”

The news of Wallace’s recruitment came after months of speculation on his future. However, a lot of people have high hopes for the African-American driver and the team itself.

Will Bubba Wallace be the dark horse of 2021?

Quite a few have acknowledged that Bubba Wallace is a driver with immense talent. So he deserves a car that is capable of winning races. This is why Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan are confident that their team can give him that opportunity.

The Alabama native is yet to win a race in his Cup Series career, but has certainly shown flashes of brilliance. His best finish this season was the 5th place at Daytona. However, the African-American has placed 2nd at the 2018 Daytona 500 and 3rd at the 2019 Brickyard 400.

This is more than enough proof that Bubba Wallace is a certified talent and can perform wonders in a good car. Of course, nobody knows how good the Denny Hamlin-Michael Jordan car will be, until 2021. Truthfully, most of the details of the new team are still a little vague.

This is because the team name, manufacturer, and car number are yet to be revealed. Hopefully, Hamlin and Jordan will provide some more updates in the near future.

The good news is that Wallace’s future in NASCAR is secure and he has more chances to mix it up with the title contenders.
