While cynics deemed it as a celebrity stunt and said the passion for racing was ephemeral, it was not long before the amateur driver proved that a star could shine in any given profession. Harboring the legitimate intentions of making his breakthrough in the elite series of NASCAR, Frankie Muniz has exhibited immense caliber as a motor racer. He has notched top 10 and top 5 positions in the series so far and is a championship contender in the ongoing series.

However, Muniz seems to have encountered major hiccups that have proved to be a serious threat to his championship title. One such is mechanical issues with the car, which has proved to be detrimental for the driver and cost him his on-track position. This was evident in the Milwaukee race on Sunday. The ARCA Menards driver, who was racing within the top 10, fell back in the pack after encountering battery issues. Even the sportscasters of the race seem to be disappointed with the issue which has ensued for weeks.

One of the broadcasters was heard stating, “Everyone will put tires on in here in just a little while. They will get one set of tires unless they have an issue and we got a problem here. Frankie Muniz!” To which her co-host reported, “We were just dropping back to check in on him and he was a little slow there had an issue with that 30 […]”

Enquiring about further updates from pit reporter Heather Debeaux, she replied, “He came over the radio and said he thinks he was having another battery issue. If you remember they have been plagued by electrical issues with this car on about five different times. Right now everything seems okay.”

“Hey listen, I am going to go talk to Interstate Batteries, I know some of the guys over there, see if we can get this problem sorted out. It’s three races now where he has had a mechanical problem or an electrical problem. One of those we know is from an impact on restart, it knocked the battery loose.”

“Last week at Watkins Glen seemed to be a full car electrical issue, not sure if he is running some of the same components or what’s going on, but yeah just a bad problem here again today, to be fighting those same gremlins,” the analyst affirmed.

A similar incident occurred in the Pocono race, where he suffered a battery issue and finished 21 in the race. He heaved his disappointment to Frontstretch, “I hit really hard on the first start from behind, everyone checked up pretty bad and we think that made the battery connection got loose.
