The 2021 Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix has to be one of the most polarising races in a long time. The final result was Max Verstappen taking his maiden F1 title. Already, there have been several views on social media, and NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Larson is the latest to comment.
He said, “It sounds like they bent the rules a little bit to get a green finish, and it seems like that was their main goal. I don’t really know F1 well enough, but it doesn’t seem like they did it to help Max or anything like that. But they did make it exciting.”

Both Larson and Verstappen’s campaigns were almost similar. To be precise, both of them stormed to 10 victories during the course of the NASCAR and F1 seasons. Additionally, if NASCAR had a podium system, then both Kyle Larson and Max Verstappen have notched up 8 podiums.

Larson continued as he spoke about the race, “The race fan in me was like ‘Man, I wish there would be a caution and this thing can get exciting in the end and produce some drama’. Then it happened. Then I was like ‘Well, I don’t know if that was particularly fair.'”
Recently, the Asian-American driver made an appearance in Abu Dhabi for the F1 finale. Of course, this excited many fans who were hoping to see him in an F1 car one day. Unfortunately, there could possibly be a massive issue because the rules are different and he is not eligible for a super license.
