It is safe to say that Denny Hamlin is not exactly pleased with the direction that NASCAR is taking. Now that he is a team owner, he has a better idea of the happenings in the sport. Recently, he spoke to NASCAR CEO Jim France and demanded a change in the way things are run. Hamlin has confirmed that his 23XI Racing team has plans to expand in the future.

He said, “I will go on the record saying that I had a meeting with Jim France and my message was clear that we need to stop talking about cutting. Cutting does not equal growth. If we start working collectively then we can grow this sport together. But the business model will have to change for that to happen. We at 23XI have big plans. What exactly does Denny Hamlin have in store for 23XI Racing?

Without a doubt, Kurt Busch’s win would have galvanized the team. As a result, there are plans in development to buy more charters or develop a new headquarters. According to reports, the new deal is expected to land by 2025. Additionally, the organization wants a clearer picture of how much to spend on operating the Next Gen cars. For now, though, he and 23XI Racing have to focus on the ongoing NASCAR Cup Series season. At the moment, Hamlin is in the Playoffs, as is 23XI Racing’s Kurt Busch after his win at the Kansas Speedway. Now, all that is left is for Bubba Wallace to try and reach Victory Lane this season before the Playoffs begin.
