Like Ken Schroeder, who was crushed by Paul Tracy, Hailie Deegan also became a victim once. When Deegan came in place of Tony Kanaan at Slinger Speedway, the two spun each other, which raised questions about the No. 13 Ford F-150 motorist’s driving style. While Deegan made history as the first woman to win in the West Series, her reputation for aggressive driving precedes her.

Sharing a video of her arrival at the challenging 7/16 mile track, Deegan engaged with locals to gather insights about the circuit. In the video, she mentioned, “I have never been here Chase has been here. Lot of people has been here besides me.”

“Everyone complaints this is one of the worst track for tire wears so we got kind of game plan, I’m gonna talk to a local guys and see what their opinion is how much you should be saving what laps you should go, I’m probably going to crews and practice like bit not wear my tire out since we have to use them for the heat race but we are gonna see this in an oddball for me. I have never been attached yet to save this much” she concluded.

The video then showcased Deegan taking a lap with the SRX car, where she highlighted the unique challenges posed by the track’s surface. Despite encountering setbacks, Hailie Deegan was bestowed with a remarkable opportunity to race alongside and learn from the very legends that shaped the sport.
