Chase Elliott recently unveiled what will be his special livery for this year’s race at the Darlington Raceway. It is known that the Dawsonville native runs a foundation that collaborates with the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta each year to give a chance to a young courageous patient to draw the livery for his cars. Moreover, Elliott put out a video on Instagram with a heartfelt message that touched the hearts and minds of NASCAR fans.

Elliott’s “DESI9N TO DRIVE” initiative has been paramount in giving a chance to young and brave children of Atlanta who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Over the past few years, the Hendrick Motorsports driver has been running these special liveries during the playoff races at Darlington Raceway.

This year, a 16-year-old leukemia patient named Dani Gamel got the opportunity to design the livery, helmet, shoes, gloves, and racing suit for the number #9 driver.

In the video posted on Instagram, Elliott stated, “September begins national childhood cancer awareness month. I’ve been beyond lucky where I can give back to the community. With me being from Georgia, with me being in a relationship with children’s healthcare of Atlanta has been a really natural fit to try to give back.”

He went on to mention how the Chase Elliott foundation works with the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to send out these pieces of paper with a helmet, car, and suit for them to draw and color on. Hearing the message that Elliott is highly passionate to work and give back to the community, they came out in droves to appreciate his efforts.
