Christmas is a time to celebrate and be with the family. Many in the NASCAR community are taking advantage of the off-season to relax. Among them is 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft. The NASCAR spotter and internet personality was recently spotted at a local bar, enjoying himself with a few friends.

He got the attention of social media when he posted a picture of his tall glass of beer. To be honest, he wasn’t really happy with his drink, and it was easy to see why. Ever pick up a packet of potato chips and think that it is full, only to rip it open to find that half the packet is filled with air? That is the exact experience that Kraft got with his pint of beer.

How did NASCAR fans react to Bubba Wallace’s spotter’s experience?

Beer pouring is an art form for many and in this case, it was executed very poorly. The beer in Kraft’s glass was mostly just foam! Naturally, he sarcastically said that the bartender did a good job of pouring his drink. Many NASCAR fans agreed with the sentiment and felt that a half-full drink was extremely sacrilegious.

According to several fans, the establishment was likely to blame for the poor service. Others were a bit sarcastic and in a mood to joke around, as one fan said, “i blame the guy on the right.”

Another fan sarcastically said, “Gotta love getting drunk on beer foam.” Well, Kraft certainly isn’t getting drunk from the beer in that glass, and even if he does drink it, the foam would ruin the experience.

Have an interesting take?

Of course, there were some outraged reactions to the lack of beer, “That deserves prison time.” If a bad pour was a punishable offense, then this one would certainly go straight to jail.

However, other people tried to find some justifications, “hopefully it was just the end of the keg.” This is a common occurrence while pouring beer out of a nearly empty keg. The foam tends to settle at the bottom and whoever gets the last pour of that keg is quite unfortunate. In this case, it was Bubba Wallace’s spotter.

Another theory that many NASCAR fans floated was, “Bartender’s 1st shift ever?!” Well, this is certainly a possibility as well. It takes practice to pour a beer well and if the bartender was on his first day, he might want to have a chat with some old-timers as to how it’s done.

The bottom line was that a fair number of fans were not too happy with how the situation played out. One can only hope that the 23XI Racing spotter left a 1-star review on the bar’s beer service. Not that anyone can blame him, because everyone appreciates a nice cold beer, no matter the weather. Even more reason for him to celebrate is his team, 23XI Racing, just secured a huge victory in the NASCAR lawsuit which definitely would have called for a beer night.

So far, the 2024 NASCAR off-season has been far from quiet. Over the past couple of months, NASCAR headlines have been dominated by news of 23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan, suing the sport for ‘monopolistic practices’. Now this is a very serious situation because they and Front Row Motorsports did not sign the charter agreement for 2025.

While in the lawsuit, they filed a preliminary injunction to keep their charters for the next season while continuing to pursue the lawsuit. However, this injunction was rejected by the first judge, Frank Whitney, but after the judge was changed to Kenneth Bell, fortunes changed as well. He approved the injunction and Bubba Wallace now has his ride confirmed for 2025.

Wallace was on the verge of leaving 23XI Racing as his contract stated he could do so. As per courtroom documents, “Other drivers have expressed similarly urgent concerns. Driver Bubba Wallace informed 23XI that he needs to know how it intends to compete ‘immediately’ so that he can explore seats with other teams.” The approval of the preliminary injunction was a huge sigh of relief for Michael Jordan as well, who was on the verge of losing Tyler Reddick, Bubba Wallace, and their sponsor Monster Energy.

Now that the first domino in their quest to tumble NASCAR has fallen, Jordan can probably celebrate with a beer. Let’s hope for his sake it’s not anything like the one Freddie Kraft was served.
