“I’ve got to be a prodigy”: Frankie Muniz speaks about his plans

The former Agent Cody Banks star has showcased his skill behind the wheel by achieving five top-10 finishes in seven races in the current Arca Menards season. While this accomplishment is impressive, Muniz yearns for more and holds unwavering confidence in his abilities as a full-time driver in NASCAR’s higher tiers.

The Hollywood star, whose net worth is estimated at $30 million, is determined to secure a seat in a Cup Car. In an interview with Eric Estepp, Muniz expressed his eagerness, stating, “I’ve been very fortunate in my life […] When I put my helmet on, every race or every practice test or whatever it is, I put that visor down and I leave that pit lane, I’ve never been more comfortable with where I’m at than in that position. It feels like it’s what I’m meant to do.”

“I think every race car driver says I want to be a Cup driver, obviously, that’s my goal. I know with my age if it’s gonna happen, I’ve got to be a prodigy. I got to start winning races right away. And even when I’m done racing, I want to be involved in the sport in some capacity—whether it’s an owner or you know, I just want to be at a race track. It’s where I like to be the most of anywhere in the world.”

He then reflected on his participation in the BMW races in 2006 and the unfortunate injury he suffered in 2009. Muniz acknowledged the urgency of his situation, stating, “I’m 37 years old if I wanna make it I don’t have a lot of years to kind of like on the craft, If I’m gotta go I gotta go and I figured ARCA is a very competitive series with some really good drivers and if could have certain some success there maybe there’s a future in it.”

“I’m looking forward to it. I’m hoping that I have to say a little bit of an advantage but that is what I did in the past all the oval races are brand new to me. […] I’ve never driven a 3700-pound beast of a car that has lots of power and doesn’t really turn, it doesn’t really stop. I’m used to little Atlanta cars that are light […] but looking forward to the road course,” the star concluded.
