Dramatic doesn’t even come close to describing the events that unfolded on the Pocono Race in 2010. With less than two laps left, a hit from Kevin Harvick’s No.29 car sent Joey Logano spinning out, leaving Harvick with a 4th-position finish. The end of the race saw an angry Logano pushing his way through the Richard Childress Racing crew to get to Harvick.
From Joey Logano making a gibe at Harvick’s manhood to Harvick taking a dig at Logano’s father, the drama continued during the post-race interviews.
But with the past being water under the bridge, Harvick recently took a hilarious dig at Logano while speaking on the 13-year-old incident.

Joey Logano’s Famous Gibe at Kevin Harvick Led to the Birth of an Iconic Tshirt
“It’s probably not his fault, you know. His wife wears the firesuit in his family, tells him what to do,” the then Joe Gibbs Racing driver said in frustration after being hit by Kevin Harvick during the race at Pocono.
Hilarity ensued when Kevin Harvick’s wife, DeLana, showed up on the track wearing a firesuit and a quirky t-shirt on the following race. As a businesswoman and co-owner of Kevin Harvick Inc., DeLana Harvick quickly turned Logano’s gibe at her husband into a genius marketing strategy.
Within twenty-four hours the Kevin Harvick Inc. website had t-shirts on sale with the quote ‘I wear the firesuit in this family!’ The t-shirt sold like hotcakes with all the sale proceeds going to the Kevin Harvick Foundation. DeLana even sent the t-shirt as a part of the wedding gift to Brittany Baca, Joey Logano’s wife.
In a recent interview, Happy Harvick spoke about how the t-shirt came into being, also taking a sly dig at Logano.
He said, “He’s now learned that his wife wears the firesuit too. We made thousands of those t-shirts, so it was great for our foundation. Thanks Joey!”
Who would have thought Logano’s words, which were very much said out of anger, would go on to become such an amusing gag?
As things stand, Harvick is looking forward to his life post retirement.
