During a recent Instagram post on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Petty expressed his confidence, stating “I would say they are automatic, standpoint both of them won seven championships and you know they proven to get the job done”

He continued, “So the competition they had and everything they really accomplished whole life in their career so again I think it’s going to be an automatic deal to those two go in for no trouble and listen its not that they don’t deserve it this year the deal is you know this is the first chance to get in so again I don’t think anybody would doubt that they’re going to get it”
