The legendary seven-time World Champion himself believes that the duo of Chad Knaus and Jimmie Johnson will be at the top of the nomination list. During a recent Instagram post on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Petty expressed his confidence, stating “I would say they are automatic, standpoint both of them won seven championships and you know they proven to get the job done”

Richard Petty further emphasized their impressive careers and the intense competition they faced throughout. He continued, “So the competition they had and everything they really accomplished whole life in their career so again I think it’s going to be an automatic deal to those two go in for no trouble and listen its not that they don’t deserve it this year the deal is you know this is the first chance to get in so again I don’t think anybody would doubt that they’re going to get it”
