Fresh off his thrilling Daytona 500 win that secured him a spot in the NASCAR playoffs, Ricky hit a speed bump in the Round of 12. He found himself waving goodbye to the postseason alongside some of the racing bigwigs like Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, Ross Chastain, Bubba Wallace, and Michael McDowell. While AJ Allmendinger snagged the Charlotte race win, all eyes were fixated on an unexpected spectacle.

On the 97th lap, Ricky’s No. 47 Harris-Teeter and Totino’s Pizza Rolls Chevy Camaro decided to host its very own fiery fiesta, bursting into flames right off of turn 2. But Ricky? He took it on the chin with a side of humor, quipping about overcooking his pizza rolls!

Broadcasting the blazing spectacle to his fans, Ricky cheekily posted, “Left our Pizza Rolls in the oven a bit too long this weekend.”

And since NASCAR fans are always up for a bit of banter, they directly jumped on the comedic bandwagon. Though amid the laughs, many were quick to check if their flame-grilled racer was okay!

A high-speed car, in the thick of a race, dramatically catching fire is definitely an incident to keep the viewers hooked in their seats. The adrenaline, the suspense! And that’s partially because of concern for the driver as well. But when the same happened to the 2023 Daytona 500 winner, our cool-as-ice champ, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., escaped unscathed and even retained his wicked sense of humor. Fans were quick to tip their hats in admiration.

After the flaming spectacle, Ricky took to Twitter to share the footage, and the reactions were priceless! One fan quipped, “Bro this the roof of my mouth after I eat those tostinos straight out the airfryer without letting them cool.” Another chimed in with, “A little slow getting out of the oven RS?”

Some couldn’t resist a playful dig at Ricky’s sponsor: “You are not the only one so don’t feel bad @StenhouseJr they give me the farts also !!”

But amidst the jests and jabs, many fans’ hearts were racing with genuine concern for Ricky’s safety. “Glad you are okay. You’re a cool customer. Never showed panic,” wrote one.
